Operation and current Maintenance instructions



Basic information:


·         HEPA filters H14 with gel sealing

·         Integrated lighting

·         Double laminizer fabric

·         Replacement of filters without necessity to remove completely the laminizer

·         Conformity with DIN standard  1946-4:2008-12



Maintenance of  the equipment

 ① Filters  - are to be replaced after the pressure loss is equal to the double of the initial pressure loss (which is to be always measured after new filters  are fixed)  or  not later  than  the terminal pressure loss determined by the manufacturer is reached.  Repeated validations of filters are recommended  to be carried out in regular intervals (approx.1 year), apart from possible mechanic damage  of  the filtration medium, captured microorganisms may also intrude into the clean room subsequently.

Replacement or revalidation of filters can be done after simple opening of  laminizers  (fixed by quick-closing mechanism).  After the clogged filters are removed, seating faces of frames are to be checked and residues of stuck or gel sealing must be clear away. The new filters should  be treated carefully  in order to prevent  any  damage  of  the gel  in  the filter  frame  channel.


② Cleaning and disinfection of the Laminar field  inside parts – having  the laminizer  been opened,  the main pressure chambers  are  accessible  and  their surfaces may  be treated  with common  detergents  and  disinfectants.  Varnished surface is  adequately resistant  to  even  aggressive substances.  Disinfectant  may not be sprayed directly  onto  electric equipment.  Their chemical aggressiveness  may  cause corrosion  with  subsequent  short circuit.


③ Fluorescent lighting.  Review and replacement of fluorescent tubes  are done  after opening of the both laminizers.  Powerful  tubes T5 are very reliable and they have long service life. The maximum decrease of light output is 5% for the service live period.  Individual tubes which do not emit light may be defective. In case the both tubes of one light fitting do not emit light,  the electronic ballast may be defected. 


④ Laminizers  double execution of  the laminizer fabric  ensures  stable  and  firm tightening  by  means  of quick-closing mechanism.  The  laminizer fabric has sufficient  tensile strength  but  is  not resistant  to damage of surface  fibres  by a sharp thing.   All handling has to be carried out  carefully and with clean hands  only.  Cleaning of the laminizer fabric  is  not  necessary  since  the sterile passing air  is  already  fully filtered  and  no contamination  takes place.  However  the surface of  the laminizer fabric  is  resistant  to  all common detergents  and  disinfectants  as well.  Anyway the inside surface of the fabric cannot be treated  and the space between individual  fibres  may not be cleaned  efficiently  either.  The water getting dry after cleaning may form a scale which clogs a part of laminizer fabric.   In case the laminar fabric is accidentally and strongly contaminated  (e.g. by spouting blood)  the cloth has  to  be replaced  by sticking a new  one  (picture).
